I just updated to the latest version 6.70 and it's happening again. I can't cut and paste, or copy and paste again. I'm using Windows 7 x86 Professional. It will sometimes work a couple of times where I can paste into a file, but then it will stop letting me paste anything. There's nothing I'm doing differently from the last version to this one, but for some reason the pasting bug has reappeared. I have looked through all of the settings in the options menu and nothing seems out of place from what it was before I updated. I will try going back to the previous version to see if that is still working.

It is really hard to work on a script when you can't move things around.

EDIT:::
Update to this bug. Texted won't even let me copy and paste into the search dialog box when this is happening. I can still copy whatever is on the clipboard to ANY other program that will accept input from CTRL-V such as notepad, a web browser etc. They all accept what I am trying to paste into Texted, but Texted won't accept it.

Using 6.70

- Have a file with the following text

- Put the cursor at the end of the 1st line
- Switch to column mode
- press x, CURSOR DOWN, y, CURSOR DOWN, z
-> result is

ax
by
cz

but the cursor is 2 positions to the right of the 'z' (bug?)

- CTRL-Z several times to undo everything
-> you end up with

I compared files RJTEXTED\InstallData\Language\Esp.ini & Spa.ini

I think that both are Spanish ES (I am from Spain and I do not know Spanish Latinoamerica).

In my opinion some tranlation of Esp.ini are better than Spa.ini but other are better in Spa.ini. In general, I prefer Esp.ini.

I'm sure there are some differences in the files, why else make a second one. I think they are both Spanish es though.

Any user can make a language file and there is no limit. If someone feel we need a third Spanish es language file, that's perfectly OK. It's up to the user to decide which one they want to use.

Maybe we can use the editor tab shortcut (Alt+F9). It's customizable and makes it easier when you switch from another tab (by using the same shortcut).

In version 6.70 beta 1 (and previous), Add-ons > Languages have two versions of Spanish:

�Why have two versions? �Are differents?

Yes I know, I once bought ultredit but after a few months of use I changed editor.

However, in most editors it is the default behaviour.

The behaviour your added in 6.60 doesn't work when I close the last tab and reopen an empty tab.

The default behavior for my version of UltraEdit is the same as RJ-TextEd (closing last tab does not automatically open a new one).

Also, closing the last tab, opening a new one, and opening a file via context menu in UltraEdit does not open the file in the new tab. So, behavior is the same as RJ-TextEd.

I noted that when I close the last tab no new empty tab is automatically opened..
Would that be possible?
(well it is not so important but it is a click less )

BTW it is the default behaviour as well in most other editors.

The editor can already do folding by indent and is used in several syntax files, e.g. Boo, ASP, VBNet...

It is used sparingly though and only when needed.

Using Rj TextEd 6.7 beta 1 in Windows Vista Home Basic

Step to replicate the bug:
1) Open Syntax Editor
2) Load a Systax file (for example JScript)
3) Click on Class Completion
4) Select a class having one o more members
5) Select a member in the selected class: the member must allready have an associated icon.
6) Use modify to operate on the selected member
7) In the member define/modify dialog the icon selector combo-box does not reflect the current member icon

Note that this bug obly the user to reselect the right icon for the class member every time a modify occours

I hope you can remove this bug

* Added a new option "Default project tree path". This path is used to create a relative path. When you add files to the project, this relative path is used to create folders in the project tree (when using the option to use a relative path).

* Drag n drop inside the project tree should work properly now.

* Files and folders can now be dragged from e.g. Windows Explorer to the project tree.

Search -> Highlight
Added a new option in the menu to allow highlighting of words during normal selection.

Allow text cursor beyond end of line
Made some changes in behaviour and added a new option.

* Trailing blanks are removed from modified lines only. To keep the trailing blanks save the file or use the new option to "Keep trailing blanks".

Remote Files (FTP/SFTP)
Made several improvements.

* Document status (cursor pos, fold state...) are now saved for remote files.

Using 6.60

- Have TextED minimized to the system tray, no files open
- Open a command prompt
- "C:\Program Files (x86)\RJ TextEd\TextEd.exe" NonExistingFile.txt
--> Popup box to ask confirmation to create the non-existing file
- Click 'No'

--> TextED opens but the screen part where the file tabs are supposed to be is replaced by a list of non-working ToolBar buttons
